Giving Engine : Generosity In Motion : 2010 Newslette
Happy New Year. I hope this newsletter finds you well and ready to take on 2010. Over 145 million dollars has been raised to date on the eBay Giving Works platform. I for one am ecstatic about our success in 2009 with these eBay charity auctions that Giving Engine has managed.
The LAUSD 2010 budgets are going to be big BUT as you can all see and attest to, at Giving Engine we have brought in a simple revenue stream for the schools which raises even more with out having to reach into parents pockets again and again or having to create a back breaking “new” type of event.
I am personally looking forward to serving you all in 2010. As always feel free to contact me any time 24/7.
Drum roll please:
Here is a recap of the eBay charity auctions that Giving Engine managed for various schools/non-profits clients in 2009.
As you know all the funds raised by Giving Engine on eBay is in “addition” to the amount raised by the school during their silent auction time.
Success Stories in 2009: At Hilltop Nursery School we raised over $32,000.00 with meet and greets from the US Fleetwood Mac tour and prime tickets from the FMac Australia 2009 tour as well!
At Los Feliz Charter School For The Arts we raised over $15,500.00 with experiences such as set visits on iCarly, Sons of Anarchy, Wizards of Waverly Place, signed scripts from Mad Men plus a 2 Half Men set visit with Jon Cryer as the winners tour guide!
At Friends of Ivanhoe we raised over $9000.00 with rare memorabilia from Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Big Love plus original wardrobe badges worn on the film “Star Trek Nemesis Voyager” and a set visit on Entourage that brought in $3025.00.
Friends Of Franklin raised over $3800.00 with signed items from Smallville, Heroes, Star Trek and Tool.
New client, Valley View PTA brought in $3400.00 the first time on eBay with our help. Experiences like meet and greets from the Demi Lovato tour and the Kenny Roger’s tour plus a signed High School Musical basketball were among the many items.
All our clients did very well in 2009 as well. Here are a few examples of items and experiences.
Odyssey Charter School had a meet and greet with Lady GaGa from the 2009 Fame Ball tour!
Webster Elementary had signed items from Suite Life On Deck, Twilight, Dancing With The Stars plus The Bill Engvall Show tickets .
Larchmont Charter School: Rules Of Engagement tickets, a C.S.I. set visit and a rare Family Guy signed script.
Oneonta Cooperative Nursery School: The Soup Tickets plus a meet and greet with Joel McHale plus signed memorabilia.
Mt. Washington PTA: signed items from My Chemical Romance,
Linkin Park and Roger Daltrey of The Who.
Silverlake JCC: Finale tickets to The Biggest Loser plus signed scripts from Ugly Betty, How I Met Your Mother & Heroes.
At Ocean Charter School we had signed cds & books from The Jonas Brothers, Joaquin Phoenix, Woody Harrelson, Cameron Crowe and Viggo Mortensen.
We want to welcome new clients: Valley View PTA, Webster Elementary, Larchmont Charter School, Friends of Glenfeilz, Neighborhood Nursery School, Zoo Magnet, Friends of West Hollywood, Oneonta Cooperative Nursery School, Hancock Booster Club, All Children Great and Small and The Pablove Foundation.
Our personal success was that in November of 2009 we raised over $40,000 for The Pablove Foundation with experiences like bike rides with seven time Tour De France winner, Lance Armstrong and an auction where the winner will have a track recorded by famed Nirvana producer Butch Vig that went for $10,500.00!
Check out our winners riding with Lance in Austin, Texas on You Tube. I am very honored that I helped The Pablove Foundation with this amazing experience and fundraising opportunity.
Giving Engine truly has created a profitable revenue stream for our schools/non profits and I look forward to working with you all in 2010. My company is blessed to be the one who is introducing this powerful additional revenue stream to all of our schools and non-profits.
In Gratitude,
Modi Frank
