[ZooMagnet-2013] Bowling for Rhinos

ATTENTION ZOO MAGNET PARENTS AND FACULTY:

*_There will be a Bake-sale TUESDAY to raise money to sponsor a “ 
Bowling for Rhinos” team for the LA Zoo.
_*

    * We aim to raise at least $250 to sponsor a Bowling team
          o Please send some baked goodies with your students on Monday
            or Tuesday to help the Zoo’ conservation efforts.

Here is what the Zoo has on their website regarding the Rhino event:
_“In an effort to help protect critically endangered rhino species from 
extinction, zoo keepers throughout the nation are sponsoring the 
twentieth annual National "Bowling For Rhinos" fundraiser and asking for 
your help. *One hundred percent* of all proceeds will *go directly to 
support rhino conservation efforts in Africa and Southeast Asia and will 
also help to protect the other animal and plant species that share their 
same habita*t. Some of these species include elephants, zebras, tapirs, 
lions and tigers. Along with saving these ecosystems, you will also be 
helping to provide people in low currency nations with jobs and an 
education for their children. Locals in both regions are hired to 
protect the rhinos from poachers.

Last year, over three hundred people attended this event and were 
successful in raising $30,000 for rhino conservation. Sponsors can be 
recognized at this event by having their logo prominently displayed 
around the venue, in the event’s green program and on the back of the 
t-shirts that will be sold at the fundraiser.”
