Hi All,

I hope I am mistaken, just uninformed, but I get the feeling that the effort to get Cortines and/or the Board to fund a full-time Zoo counselor (meaning sub in Sept. and Alicia in January) has lost steam. Right now, the job no longer exists. Please get the word out. The only way we saved Angie last year was by burying Cortines and Board members in email and phone calls. These people work for you, do not them them forget it. 

Randy did present an alternative, but unless someone has very rich uncle, I do not see us raising $85K by August. Cortines and Pena-Sanchez (Dist 2, asst. super) DO have discretionary funds—albeit not much—they can choose to fund the position. You have to make it their priority.
