The Zoo Magnet School Community holds its annual Family Holiday Potluck and Silent Auction on Saturday, Dec. 11th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM in the cafeteria at North Hollywood High School. Come witness the magical transformation as the wizards of the ZM Parent Council create a lovely holiday wonderland on the NoHo-Ho campus. Bring a scrumptious dish of your choosing, or just come join in a fun, cozy evening with family, faculty, and friends. Enjoy music, a potluck feast, a silent auction, prize drawing, and plenty of mingling and ringing in the holiday season! Don't miss it.

ALL Zoo Magnet students will have ID photos taken and receive their ID cards on Wednesday 9/16 at the NORTH HOLLYWOOD HIGH cafeteria beginning at 7:00 AM. Zoo Magnet students with a period 1 class at NHHS will take photos with Zoo students BEFORE their first class. All students must participate (no bus service or LA Zoo entry without a current ZM school ID). As priority has been arranged for Zoo students, they must proceed to the cafeteria IMMEDIATELY on arrival at North Hollywood High. Shuttle buses will return to the Zoo Magnet as students complete their photos.

This Wednesday, October 14th, is a MINIMUM DAY: students will be dismissed at 12:40 PM. All Zoo Magnet students (and their NHHS peers) in the 9th, 10th and 11th grades will take the PSAT exam in their 2nd period class. Zoo Magnet students with classes at North Hollywood period 2 will take the test in that classroom at NHHS. ALL seniors will attend a college information program in the NHHS auditorium beginning at 8:00 AM.

Zoo Magnet Student ID photos will be taken at the Zoo campus during periods 2 and 4

Wednesday, Nov. 25th, the day before the Thanksgiving Holiday, is a minimum day and students will be dismissed at 12:35 PM. Those taking the bus to NHHS should arrive there by 1:00 PM.

Thursday evening, Feb. 18th at 6:00 PM the Zoo Magnet will sponsor a Senior Class Parent/Student information meeting re: the Senior Trip to Yosemite National Park, scheduled for the week of May 16, 2010. We will meet in the North Hollywood High School campus cafeteria. Parents of students who plan to join the adventure are STRONGLY encouraged to attend.

Help us fill the Goodwill Truck! Simply by dropping off your unwanted items you can raise lots of needed money for the Zoo Magnet Parent Council. Time is short the truck arrives on Feb. 4. If every Zoo family brings three shopping bags of reusables (contact us for a list of approved stuff) we generate $900-$1500 to support our students. Items can be dropped off at the Zoo Magnet during school hours, Mon-Fri.
