Location

The Zoo Magnet is located in the south parking lot of the Los Angeles Zoo next to the satellite parking for the Griffith Observatory and appx. 200 yards due south of the main entrance to the Zoo.

Directions to the Zoo Magnet Center in Griffith Park (there is no school signage and it is a little tricky)

The Zoo Magnet campus is hidden in the far southwest corner of the south LA Zoo parking lot. We are adjacent to the Griffith Observatory Reservation Center (which was their satellite campus during renovations on the hill.)

From Los Angeles—south, exit the I-5 north at Zoo Drive and North 134 exit. Stay to the right. Make a right turn at the stop sign and loop back over the freeway. Make a left at the stop in front of the main Zoo parking lot and continue through a crosswalk stop. About 50 yards further, as the road turns right, make a soft left into the south parking lot, then immediately follow the road to the right and into the lot. We are the 3 rows of tan colored buildings in the far corner (SW) of the lot.

From the SF Valley—west (North Hollywood) take the 101-134 Ventura frwy East to Victory (last exit before I-5.) At the top of the ramp make a right turn from the middle lane. Make an immediate left at the stop sign. The road circles the main Zoo parking lot. Continue through 2 stop signs (the second is a crosswalk stop.) About 50 yards further, as the road turns right, make a soft left into the south parking lot, then immediately follow the road to the right and into the lot. We are the 3 rows of tan colored buildings in the far corner (SW) of the lot.

From the SF Valley—north (Sunland, Sylmar) exit the I-5 south at Western (west) at the end of the ramp turn right and continue to Victory Blvd. At Victory turn left and continue appx. ½ mile over the freeway to Griffith Park. At the stop sign at the park entrance turn left. The road circles the main Zoo parking lot. Continue through 2 stop signs (the second is a crosswalk stop.) About 50 yards further, as the road turns right, make a soft left into the south parking lot, then immediately follow the road to the right and into the lot. From Eagle Rock/Glendale—east exit the 134 Ventura frwy west at the I-5 North/San Fernando Rd. junction. Do not exit at San Fernando, but stay to the extreme right and exit at Zoo Drive. Follow the ramp to the right, past the soccer field on your right and the LA River on your left. Continue 100 yds. under the 134 frwy and over the I-5 frwy. Make a left at the stop in front of the main Zoo parking lot and continue
through the crosswalk stop sign with the Autry Museum on your left. About 50 yards further, as the road turns right, make a soft left into
the south parking lot, then immediately follow the road to the right
and into the lot. We are the 3 rows of tan colored buildings in the far
corner (SW) of the lot.
