Zoo Magnet Center

The Zoo Magnet Center is a small high school magnet program in Griffith Park. In partnership with North Hollywood High School and the Los Angeles Zoo, the Zoo Magnet offers 300 LAUSD students from across the city a challenging college preparatory curriculum focused on animal studies and biological sciences.

Our classrooms open out on a living laboratory that includes the L.A. Zoo and Botanical Gardens, L.A. River ecosystem, Autry National Center and the natural world of Griffith Park. The human scale of the Zoo Magnet campus supports an inclusive school community where students and teachers learn together and no one is lost in the crowd.

Finals Week Schedule: February 3rd - 5th

Fall semester final exams for Zoo Magnet and North Hollywood High classes are scheduled for Wed., Thurs. and Friday, February 3rd, 4th and 5th. All three days will be minimum days; school will be dismissed at 12:35 PM. Wednesday's exams are periods 1 and 4, Thursday periods 2 and 5, Friday periods 3 and 6. Monday, February 8th is the first day of the Spring 2010 semester and all periods will meet. Friday, Feb. 12th will be a 1:3:5 day.
